Sky Living Acquires US Dramas SHADES OF BLUE And NASHVILLE

Sky Living continues to grow its exciting US drama offering as it acquires NBCUniversal International Distribution’s police thriller Shades of Blue, starring Jennifer Lopez, and the fourth installment of ABC’s Emmy® and Golden Globe®-nominated US musical drama series Nashville, These US dramas bring Sky Living’s customers even more of the addictive storylines and strong, confident characters they love to watch.

Shades of Blue is a thrilling crime drama fresh from the US starring the talented multi-hyphenate Jennifer Lopez as Harlee Santos. Harlee is a charismatic single mother and resourceful detective at the heart of a close-knit crew of Brooklyn detectives, led by the enigmatic Lieutenant Matt Wozniak, played by Emmy® Award-winning Ray Liotta, who often leads the team to step outside the limitations of the law in order to effectively protect their precinct and their own.

Series four of critically acclaimed Nashville will headline for the first time on Sky Living, with its well-loved country music stars and their southern drama top of the bill. Created by Callie Khouri, Nashville stars Connie Britton (American Crime Story) as legendary country music superstar Rayna James, and Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) as thriving younger star Juliette Barnes.

The acquisition of Nashville and Shades of Blue further showcases to customers that Sky Living is the number one place to get lost in great drama. Sky Living is already home to an enviable list of some of the most-loved US network hits including Scandal, Elementary, The Blacklist, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Bones and most recently the UK premiere of Blindspot. Blindspot consolidated from 384K to 1.192m, making it the best launch of a brand new US drama on Sky Living ever. Also coming soon to Sky Living is the new show from Shonda Rhimes, The Catch.
