Questions can be submitted through @bbcnature or @bbcone using the hashtag #AskAttenborough. He goes live on Wednesday 6 February for an hour from 1pm. Questions can also be sent via email and Facebook.

The series which opened with over 8.5 million viewers was the most talked about programme of the day on Twitter with 79,000 tweets during transmission and a total of 98,000 during the day.

#Africa trended at number one worldwide within minutes of the show going on air as thousands of viewers shared highlights including the surprisingly social rhinos caught by remote starlight camera at a night-time gathering and two male giraffes battling for supremacy.

The last episode, which is presented by David, looks at the future of the continent and the threats its wildlife face from poachers, as well as climate change and deforestation. David, aged 86, celebrated 60 years in television this year.
