Alice In Chains Announce Album Title And Release Date

ALICE IN CHAINS have revealed the title of their highly anticipated upcoming album and confirmed its release date. The record, titled BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE (Virgin/EMI) will arrive in stores on September 29th. BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE is the band’s first new studio release in more than 10 years. The quartet (vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney, bassist Mike Inez and vocalist/guitarist William DuVall) recorded the album with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters) at Studio 606 in Northridge, CA and Henson Studios in Hollywood. Paramount Pictures’ Star Trek Opens In IMAX Theatres May 7, 2009

Paramount Pictures and IMAX Corporation today announced that Star Trek, directed by J.J. Abrams (“Mission: Impossible III”, “Lost” and “Alias”), will open for a special, limited two-week run in 134 IMAX(R) theatres domestically, concurrently with the wide release on Thursday, May 7 at 7 pm. The film will also open in 29 IMAX theatres internationally. Star Trek has been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R) with proprietary IMAX DMR(R) (Digital Re-mastering) technology. We increased Monday's 3,000 person turnout on Tuesday to nearly 3,200. Wednesday we had over 3,300.
