Prime Video Casts Siobhan McGroarty, West Mulholland, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, Curtis Hamilton and Gigi Zumbado in Rose Hill

Prime Video is filling out the world of Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill book series with five new additions to its romantic family drama.

Siobhan McGroarty will play Cora, while Sophia Reid-Gantzert joins as Emmy Belmont and West Mulholland takes on the role of Oliver Belmont. Gigi Zumbado has been cast as Tabitha, and Curtis Hamilton will recur as Bash Rousseau.

The series is set in a rugged mountain town and follows best friends and neighbors West Belmont, a rancher with commitment issues, and Ford Grant, a brooding record-label owner with a very public billionaire reputation and a long-held torch for West’s sister, Rosie. When country-pop star Skylar Stone arrives in town, those tightly intertwined relationships begin to get even more complicated.

The new casting gives the adaptation more of the family-and-community texture that makes this kind of romance work. Reid-Gantzert’s Emmy Belmont and Mulholland’s Oliver Belmont bring additional members of the Belmont orbit into view, while McGroarty’s Cora, Zumbado’s Tabitha and Hamilton’s Bash Rousseau broaden the group around the show’s central relationships.

McGroarty has previously appeared in Law & Order and V/H/S: Kidprint. Reid-Gantzert has built a résumé across Netflix’s Free Bert and Scaredy Cats, Hulu’s Death and Other Details and the film Popular Theory. Mulholland’s recent work includes Steven Soderbergh’s Presence, along with roles in Animal Kingdom, Legion and Little Fires Everywhere.

Zumbado arrives after appearances in DMV, The Lincoln Lawyer, Hightown and Heart Eyes. Hamilton, meanwhile, was a series regular on The Kings of Napa and recurred during the final season of Insecure.

Heidi Cole McAdams will write, showrun and executive produce Rose Hill. Marc Webb will direct the pilot and second episode and executive produce. Silver also executive produces alongside Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman; Annika Patton will serve as co-executive producer.

Prime Video has not announced a premiere date for Rose Hill yet, but this latest group makes the series feel increasingly ready to bring its small-town romance to the screen.
