ABC has released official R.J. Decker Season 1 Episode 1 photos for the “Pilot,” airing Tuesday, March 3 (10:00–11:00 p.m. EST). The highly anticipated series premiere introduces a crime-solving antihero navigating the colorful — and dangerous — world of South Florida.
In the R.J. Decker series premiere, ex-con photographer R.J. Decker reinvents himself as a private investigator, tackling cases that range from strange to outright bizarre. With help from his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a mysterious woman from his past who may help — or destroy — him, Decker dives headfirst into South Florida’s criminal underbelly.
Written by Rob Doherty (Elementary) and inspired by Carl Hiaasen’s novel Double Whammy, the series blends offbeat humor, noir tension, and eccentric Florida crime storytelling.

The series stars Scott Speedman as R.J. Decker, alongside Jaina Lee Ortiz as Emilia “Emi” Ochoa, Bevin Bru as Detective Melody “Mel” Abreu, Kevin Rankin as Aloysius “Wish” Aiken, and Adelaide Clemens as Catherine Delacroix.
Produced by 20th Television, R.J. Decker is showrun and executive produced by Rob Doherty, with Carl Hiaasen, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, and Paul McGuigan also serving as executive producers.
