Project Hail Mary Begins Streaming On Prime Video July 3

One of the year’s most anticipated science fiction adventures is about to make its streaming debut. Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling and based on Andy Weir’s bestselling novel, arrives on Prime Video worldwide on July 3.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from a screenplay by Drew Goddard, Project Hail Mary follows science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling), who awakens aboard a spaceship light-years from Earth with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As fragments of his past slowly return, Grace discovers that he has been sent on a mission unlike any other: uncover the mystery behind a strange substance that is causing the sun to die and find a way to save humanity from extinction.

Armed with his scientific expertise, quick thinking, and unconventional problem-solving skills, Grace races against time to complete a mission that could determine the fate of every person on Earth. Along the way, however, he forms an unexpected friendship that may prove just as important as science itself.

Fans of Andy Weir’s previous adaptation, The Martian, will find plenty to look forward to as Project Hail Mary blends high-stakes science, humor, emotional storytelling, and an epic space adventure into one of the summer’s biggest streaming premieres.

The film is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with a screenplay by Drew Goddard, based on the acclaimed novel by Andy Weir. Producers include Amy Pascal, Ryan Gosling, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor, and Andy Weir, while Patricia Whitcher, Lucy Winn Kitada, Nikki Baida, Ken Kao, Drew Goddard, and Sarah Esberg serve as executive producers.

In addition to Ryan Gosling, the cast includes Sandra HüllerJames OrtizLionel BoyceKen LeungMilana Vayntrub, and Priya Kansara.
