Peacock has announced the acquisition of Saturday Night Live UK, the British adaptation of the legendary late-night sketch comedy series created by Lorne Michaels.
The series will premiere Saturday, March 21 on Sky’s SKY One and NOW in the United Kingdom before streaming in the United States on Peacock the following day.
Beginning March 22, new episodes of Saturday Night Live UK will stream weekly on Peacock, bringing the iconic live comedy format to audiences across the U.S.
The First UK Version of the Legendary Comedy Format
SNL UK marks the first-ever British version of the long-running comedy showcase. Much like the original Saturday Night Live, the series will feature a core ensemble of comedians performing live sketch comedy alongside a rotating lineup of celebrity hosts and musical guests.

Over the decades, the show has become the most Emmy-winning series in television history and has received four prestigious George Foster Peabody Awards, along with induction into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
