NCIS Sydney Season 3 Episode 6 “Sucker Punch” – Photos, Story Details & What to Expect

NCIS Sydney Season 3 Episode 6, titled “Sucker Punch,” escalates the stakes to unprecedented heights as the multinational NCIS–AFP taskforce faces one of its most dangerous and time-sensitive cases to date. The episode airs Tuesday, Nov. 18 (10:00–11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streams next day on Paramount+.

In “Sucker Punch,” the team is confronted with Australia’s first known case of Ebola, a biohazard crisis with international implications. The investigation becomes even more urgent when the infected patient is identified as a U.S. Navy scientist, raising questions about how the exposure occurred, whether the virus was intentionally weaponized, and who else may be at risk.

As the NCIS and AFP agents race to determine patient zero’s movements, they quickly discover that the case is tangled up with a top-secret military research agency that refuses to cooperate. Stonewalling, redacted files, and jurisdictional power plays push the team to its limits—forcing them to go around official channels to uncover the truth.

Meanwhile, the crisis takes a devastating personal turn when two members of the taskforce begin exhibiting symptoms, putting their lives in jeopardy. With containment protocols in place and medical isolation tearing at the team’s morale, Mackey and JD must stay sharp while fighting fear, frustration, and the ticking clock of a viral outbreak.

Written by Fiona Kelly & Ella Cook and directed by Catherine Millar, the episode blends medical emergency, military secrecy, and high-stakes investigative action. The storyline highlights what makes NCIS: Sydney unique within the franchise: global stakes, multi-national teamwork, and stories drawn from the political, scientific, and cultural complexities of the Indo-Pacific.

About the Series
