Max Releases The Official Trailer For The HBO Original Series LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE

Max has released the official trailer for the HBO Original series LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE, which debuts SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3 on HBO and Max, followed by one new episode weekly on Sundays.

Accompanied by a soundtrack that evokes the essence of Mexican culture, the trailer offers a glimpse of key moments in this intense story, including the first meeting between Tita and her true love; an introduction to the oppressive matriarch of the family, Mamá Elena; and the kitchen, where passion and cooking intertwine, and Tita manifests strength and love through every dish she prepares.

Leading the stellar cast of LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE is Irene Azuela as Mamá Elena, and Azul Guaita portraying Tita. Ana Valeria Becerril gives life to Rosaura, Tita’s sister and rival in love, while Andrea Chaparro plays Gertrudis, the youngest sister. Andrés Baida plays Pedro Múzquiz, the object of Tita and Rosaura’s affection; Ángeles Cruz plays Nacha, Tita’s cook and mentor. Mauricio García Lozano is Don Pedro Múzquiz, Ari Brickman is Don Felipe Múzquiz, and Louis David Horné is Juan Alejandrez.
 
LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE, is executive produced by Salma Hayek Pinault, José Tamez, and Siobhan Flynn for Ventanarosa Productions; Sharon Levy, Lisa Fahrenholt and Flavio Morales for Endemol Shine North America; Alejandro Rincón, Clara Machado, Jerry Rodríguez, also showrunner of the series, and Manuel Vargas, who oversees physical production, for Endemol Shine Boomdog; and Mariano Cesar, Mônica Alburquerque and Anouk Aarón for Warner Bros. Discovery. Francisco Javier Royo Fernández (Desaparecidos, Capitán Alatriste), known as ‘Curro Royo’, also serves as executive producer and head writer. He is joined by the series’ scriptwriters María Jaén (Com si fos ahir, Madres. Amor y Vida), and Jimena Gallardo (Ingobernable, Como dice el dicho). LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE is directed by Mexican filmmakers Julián de Tavira and Analorena Perezríos.
