Line of Fire Trailer: Peter Krause Leads NBC’s New Fall Drama

NBC is getting an early start on the fall TV season with a new look at Line of Fire, a family drama where protecting the public is literally the family business.

The network has released a new trailer and key art for the upcoming drama starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis. Line of Fire premieres Monday, September 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will stream the following day on Peacock.

Created by Joshua Safran, the series follows a family of law enforcement agents whose jobs stretch across some of the country’s most powerful federal agencies. Their personal and professional lives collide when what initially appears to be a straightforward case develops into a deadly conspiracy.

The new trailer introduces the family at the center of Line of Fire and the complicated intersection between their relationships and their responsibilities as federal law enforcement officers.

With family members working across the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service and Department of Justice, professional boundaries can become difficult to maintain — especially when the people they’re trying to protect are one another.

What Is Line of Fire About?

Line of Fire centers on a family of law enforcement agents who have spent their lives protecting civilians and politicians while serving in different corners of the federal government.

When a seemingly cut-and-dry case develops into a deadly conspiracy, those separate areas of expertise become increasingly important. The family must work together to identify the killer and keep one another alive, even as doing so threatens the professional codes they’ve sworn to uphold.

That setup gives the series more than a traditional case-of-the-week hook. The central conflict isn’t simply about solving crimes — it’s about what happens when loyalty to family collides with loyalty to the institutions each character serves.

Who Stars in Line of Fire?

Peter Krause and Hope Davis lead the cast of NBC’s new drama alongside Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom and Charlie Barnett.

Krause returns to network television following his run as Bobby Nash on 9-1-1, giving NBC’s new fall drama a familiar face at the center of its ensemble.

Who Created Line of Fire?

Joshua Safran created the series and serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.

Safran’s previous television credits include Quantico and Gossip Girl, making the combination of federal law enforcement, conspiracy and complicated personal relationships particularly familiar territory for the writer and producer.

Jenna Bush Hager and Ben Spector also executive produce, while Rebecca Thomas directed and executive produced the pilot.

Line of Fire is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

When Does Line of Fire Premiere on NBC?

Line of Fire premieres Monday, September 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Episodes will also be available to stream the following day on Peacock. Fans can find more about the series on NBC’s official Line of Fire page.
