Finn Wolfhard To Host Saturday Night Live for the First Time

NBC has unveiled an exciting lineup of hosts and musical guests for Saturday Night Live this January, featuring first-time hosts, returning favorites, and major names from film, television, and music. The legendary sketch comedy series continues its landmark run with new episodes airing live from Studio 8H in New York City.

Actor Finn Wolfhard will make his SNL hosting debut on January 17, marking his first time leading the iconic late-night series. Wolfhard is best known for starring in the global hit Netflix series Stranger Things, which recently wrapped its acclaimed run and is now fully available to stream on Netflix. Wolfhard’s appearance comes as he continues to expand his career beyond acting, with projects spanning music, directing, and film.

Joining Wolfhard on January 17 is A$AP Rocky, who will take the SNL stage as musical guest for the first time. The multi-platinum-selling artist is set to release his highly anticipated fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, on January 16, making his SNL performance a major moment for fans eager to hear new material.

The following week, Teyana Taylor will make her first appearance as SNL host on January 24. Taylor has earned widespread acclaim for her dramatic work, receiving Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and Actor Award nominations for One Battle After Another. She is also a Grammy nominee for her latest album, Escape Room, underscoring her versatility as both an actress and recording artist.

Serving as musical guest on January 24 is indie rock band Geese, who will also make their SNL debut. The band is currently on a world tour in support of its critically acclaimed album Getting Killed, and their appearance introduces SNL audiences to one of the most talked-about alternative acts on the touring circuit.

Closing out the month, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Alexander Skarsgård will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on January 31. Skarsgård continues to build an impressive film résumé and will next star in The Moment, hitting theaters January 30, followed by Pillion, opening February 6. His SNL debut is expected to showcase both his dramatic range and comedic timing.

Returning to Studio 8H as musical guest on January 31 is Cardi B, making her second appearance on the show. The Grammy-winning superstar recently released her latest Billboard #1 album, Am I the Drama?, and will kick off the “Little Miss Drama Tour” on February 11. Her return promises another high-energy performance from one of music’s most dynamic performers.

In addition to airing Saturdays at 11:30 PM ET / 8:30 PM PT on NBCSaturday Night Live streams live on Peacock.
