Doc begins its third season with new responsibilities, a baffling medical case and a familiar face carrying a plan of his own. In “Wherefore Art Thou,” Amy Larsen and Sonya Maitra begin their first day as Co-Chief Residents at Westside Hospital while a new class of interns arrives with a patient whose condition appears to defy medical logic.
It is a major shift for Amy (Molly Parker) and Sonya (Anya Banerjee), who must guide the hospital’s newest doctors while proving they can lead under pressure. Jake (Jon Ecker) and TJ (Patrick Walker) are also settling into changed roles, making the premiere a reset for much of the Westside team without losing the relationships that have defined the series.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ben Grant (Blair Underwood) returns to Westside with a secret plan to reshape the Surgical Department. With Amy, Sonya, Jake, TJ, Dr. Michael Hamda (Omar Metwally) and Dr. Gina Walker (Amirah Vann) all adjusting to changes at Westside, the Season 3 premiere sets up a very different hospital dynamic.
