Dexter: Resurrection is adding serious firepower for Season 2, with Emmy®, Olivier, and Golden Globe® winner Brian Cox officially joining the series in a major new role. Cox will play The New York Ripper, a notorious serial killer whose past crimes continue to cast a long shadow over the city—and whose twisted legacy may put him directly in Dexter Morgan’s path.
Though no longer actively killing, The New York Ripper has found a chilling new way to stay relevant, taunting the survivors of his long-ago murder spree and keeping his infamy alive. His arrival sets up a dangerous new dynamic for Dexter Morgan, as the series leans into psychological warfare and unfinished business.
From Emmy-nominated showrunner Clyde Phillips, Dexter: Resurrection stars Michael C. Hall reprising his iconic role as Dexter Morgan. The series continues to expand the franchise with new threats, deeper character exploration, and a darker, more layered narrative in its second season.
Season one of Dexter: Resurrection is currently available to stream on Paramount+ (Premium plan), giving fans plenty of time to catch up before Cox’s highly anticipated debut in Season 2.
Stay tuned for more casting updates, trailers, and premiere details as Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 takes shape.
