Natalia Brings Michael and Olivia a Chatbot Case
As part of her agreement to fund the firm, Natalia Boutella, played by Busy Philipps, asks Michael and Olivia to represent a distraught mother. The woman believes a companion chatbot is responsible for her son’s patricide.
The case places the attorneys between a grieving client and a technology company whose product she holds responsible for a devastating act. The mother’s claim drives the investigation and legal dispute; it is not an established finding against the chatbot.
Renée Elise Goldsberry’s Nichole Faces Michael in Court
The chatbot company brings in Nichole, played by Renée Elise Goldsberry, as opposing counsel in an effort to throw Michael off his game. Because Nichole is Michael’s ex-girlfriend, the choice brings their shared history into an already difficult case.
Fisher Stevens also guest stars as Natalia’s billionaire ex-husband, adding another connection to the world of tech wealth that Michael and Olivia’s firm is taking on.
