Chicago P.D. Season 2 Episode 8, “Assignment of the Year,” puts Antonio Dawson in a difficult position when his off-duty security job turns deadly. Antonio is protecting wealthy diamond dealer Asher Roslyn and his wife Layla when Asher is killed, leaving the Intelligence Unit racing to solve the case while protecting one of their own.
Voight and Olinsky work to make sure Antonio is covered as the investigation moves forward, while Halstead and Lindsay go undercover in an uncomfortable setting. Assistant State’s Attorney Steve Kot also presses Lindsay for an answer about their relationship.
This episode of Chicago P.D. stars Jason Beghe as Hank Voight, Jon Seda as Antonio Dawson, Sophia Bush as Erin Lindsay, Jesse Lee Soffer as Jay Halstead, Patrick John Flueger as Adam Ruzek and Marina Squerciati as Kim Burgess. LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton, Brian Geraghty and Elias Koteas also appear, with Michael Park and India de Beaufort guest starring as Asher and Layla Roslyn.
“Assignment of the Year” originally aired November 19, 2014 on NBC. The episode was written by Mick Betancourt and directed by Nick Gomez.
