Batman is heading back to the streets of Gotham this summer.
During its inaugural Annecy Festival Studio Focus Panel, Prime Video unveiled the official trailer for BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER Season 2, offering fans their first look at the next chapter of the acclaimed animated series from Amazon MGM Studios, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho.
The new trailer introduces Edward Nygma, better known as The Riddler, as one of Season 2’s major threats while also delivering a brief but exciting tease of The Joker, who is set to play a role in the upcoming season. The footage debuted before a packed audience at Annecy’s Salle de la Volière and provided a glimpse at the darker mysteries and dangerous new villains awaiting Gotham’s protector.
Following a critically acclaimed first season, BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER returns with all ten episodes dropping at once on Friday, July 31. The animated series has earned strong reviews from critics and currently holds a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Season 2 will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Fans looking to catch up can stream all episodes of Season 1 now.
