Barbershop Teaser Brings Calvin’s Shop Back on Prime Video

Calvin’s barbershop is opening its doors to a new generation. Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Barbershop, an eight-episode comedy series inspired by the film franchise. The teaser debuted at CultureCon with stars Jermaine Fowler and Brett Gray.

Fowler plays Travis “Trav” Walker, who returns to Chicago hoping to honor his grandfather’s legacy at Calvin’s. The shop and the city have changed, leaving Trav to find his place among a new crew of barbers and the customers who keep the conversation going.

Who Is in the Barbershop Cast?

Alongside Jermaine Fowler and Brett Gray, the cast includes Punkie Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., E.J. Bonilla, Bresha Webb, Bokeem Woodbine, Tiana Okoye and Langston Kerman. Guest stars include Zack Fox, Ego Nwodim, Diallo Riddle, Ziwe, Tituss Burgess, Comedian CP, Devon Walker and Belmont Cameli.

Marshall Todd, who co-wrote the original Barbershop film, writes and serves as co-showrunner with Max Searle. Kevin Hart and Fowler are among the executive producers, while Oz Rodriguez directs and executive produces. Amazon MGM Studios produces the series.

When Does Barbershop Premiere?

All eight episodes of Barbershop premiere February 10, 2027, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
