WGN America to Offer ENTOURAGE In Context

This fall, as WGN America introduces viewers to Vince, E, Turtle and Johnny Drama, the network introduces advertisers to contextually targeted advertising with the launch of “Entourage in Context.”

WGN America’s newest advertising opportunity, “Entourage in Context,” offers contextually relevant advertising dynamically delivered adjacent to Entourage’s program content, with a goal of increased advertiser recall and purchase intent for ads matched to the program. Targeted by specific categories, “Entourage in Context” offers advertisers “A” position and bridges in commercial breaks running adjacent to relevant scenes.

“At WGN America we are constantly looking for solutions that will better align our partners with our new Fall line-up.  ‘Entourage in Context’ enhances the value of our on-air real estate by allowing advertisers to run adjacent to content-relevant scenes that make sense for their individual brands,” said  Josh Richman, Vice President of Marketing. “We plan to expand this platform to additional WGN America programming as we move into 2011.”

Entourage, which debuts on WGN America on September 13 will air Monday through Friday 9:30pm and 2am ET, Saturdays 9:30pm and midnight ET.

Beginning this fall, WGN America also adds Curb Your Enthusiasm, How I Met Your Mother, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Monk and The Unit to the lineup to join  Bones, Scrubs, South Park, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and an extensive movie library. WGN America is also home to live professional sporting events including nearly 100 Major League Baseball games (featuring the Chicago Cubs and White Sox.) WGN America baseball showcases all 30 MLB teams and carries more games than any other national television network – all in high definition, with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. WGN America is also the home of the Chicago Bulls, (also carried in HD) and WWE Superstars, an action-packed weekly program featuring first run, original matches exclusive to WGN America.
