Tom Everett Scott has been cast as a special guest star, portraying Lucy Liu’s fiance, on the premiere of ABC‘s sexy new drama, “Cashmere Mafia,” which will debut in a special preview, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The series will have its regular time period premiere Tuesday, December 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET).

Scott will play Richard Cutting, a hotshot young associate publisher of a magazine group, Barnstead Media, where he is a colleague of Mia Mason (Lucy Liu). He is competitive, sexy — and a real catch. He and Mia make a quintessential New York power couple. Just engaged, they’re very much in love, but the two will face off in a cut-throat, “survivor-style” competition in order to determine which of them will be promoted to U.S. Group Publisher at Barnstead Magazine Group.

A versatile feature film, television and stage actor, Scott was seen this past year in the romantic comedy “Because I Said So,” opposite Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore. He also starred in TNT’s “Saved” and made his Broadway debut starring in the Tony-nominated show, “Little Dog that Laughed.” His TV credits include “ER,” “Will & Grace” and “Law & Order.” He first came to Hollywood’s attention in “That Thing You Do!,” which was Tom Hanks’ feature film directorial debut. His other film credits include “Sexual Life,” “Attraction,” “Boiler Room,” “One True Thing,” opposite Meryl Streep, “Inherit the Wind,” opposite George C. Scott and Jack Lemmon, and the independent film “River Red,” which received rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival, with Scott starring and serving as producer.
