TNT’s hit medical drama HAWTHORNE is bringing ideas for healthier living to women across the nation with the “I RuN This” Health & Wellness Tour. The 10-market mobile, interactive experience will include health screenings, exercise classes, fitness-related video games, a smoothie bar and much more.
TNT’s HAWTHORNE, which launches its second season on Tuesday, June 22, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), follows a team of hard-working nurses as they struggle against the odds to deliver the best care possible. “We recognize that many women everywhere, including fans of Hawthorne, are wearing multiple hats and playing multiple roles everyday, whether as a mother, a sister, an employee or a friend.” said Tricia Melton, senior vice president of marketing for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “The ‘I RuN This’ Health & Wellness Tour was designed to celebrate the many women who are CEOs of their households and are running every facet of their daily lives – this tour is for them.”
The American Red Cross is partnering with the tour by providing nurse volunteers who will provide health screenings and professional advice to consumers. “Red Cross nurses are looking forward to volunteering with the ‘I RuN This’ Health & Wellness Tour,” said Sharon Stanley, American Red Cross Chief Nurse. “We’ll be conducting health screenings, providing lifesaving health and safety tips and answering individual questions from HAWTHORNE fans.”
The following are a few of the elements that will be included in TNT’s “I RuN This” Health & Wellness Tour:
• Health screenings, performed by Red Cross nurses, complete with tips and information;
• Body fat measurements and offering tips for healthy weight management provided by Fitness Trainers;
• Dance fitness and aerobic exercise classes;
• Fitness and relaxation classes, including yoga and breathing techniques;
• Fitness video games;
• Photo experience where fans can appear in a picture with HAWTHORNE imagery;
• Smoothie bar;
• HAWTHORNE-branded water bottles, snacks, calorie cards and other giveaways.
