THE NEIGHBORHOOD Season 8 Episode 7 Photos — “Welcome to Babies and Bathwater”

CBS has released new photos and details for The Neighborhood Season 8 Episode 7, titled “Welcome to Babies and Bathwater,” airing Monday, Dec. 1 (8:30–9:00 PM ET/PT) at a special time on the CBS Television Network, and streaming next day on Paramount+ for Essential subscribers (live and on-demand for Premium subscribers).

In this week’s episode, Dave’s latest home improvement ambitions spiral off the rails, prompting Calvin to step in before things get even messier. Meanwhile, Malcolm struggles with a case of writer’s block and turns to Gemma for help—though her solutions may be a bit more intense than he bargained for.

At the same time, Tina’s well-meaning suggestion for baby Daphne sparks a parenting dilemma for Courtney, forcing her to balance new-mom instincts with outside advice, adding warmth and humor to the family’s ongoing adjustments.

About the Series

Now in its eighth seasonThe Neighborhood continues to bring heartfelt comedy to Monday nights, following the evolving friendships and family dynamics between the Butlers and the Johnsons.

Cedric the Entertainer stars as Calvin Butler, the unofficial mayor of his Pasadena block, alongside his devoted wife Tina, and their sons Malcolm and Marty, who have launched a new joint venture—The Fuse Box, a next-generation electric vehicle repair shop.

Next door live the Johnsons, who have gone from being the new neighbors to fully integrated members of the community:

  • Dave Johnson, now working as a therapist at the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Gemma Johnson, a dedicated school principal
  • Grover, now navigating his teenage years

Over eight seasons, the two families—once complete opposites—have grown into a tight-knit community filled with support, chaos, comedy, and plenty of heartfelt moments.
