After rescuing Captain K’nuckles from shipwreck and hearing his tall tales, impressionable Flapjack acquires an overwhelming desire for adventure. Although Bubbie tries to protect him, his creed becomes “if everything goes as planned, it’s NOT an adventure!” The popular series premiered in June 2008 as a part of Cartoon Network’s HAR HAR THARSDAYS comedy block and was watched by 14.8 million kids 6-11. Plus, during its initial run, the show was one of the top 3 shows among all programs on broadcast and cable among boys 6-11 and boys 9-14.
