Summer Glau was born in San Antonio, TX, where she was raised by her contractor father and schoolteacher mother. Glau began her career as a ballet dancer and later studied acting. Her work as a prima ballerina on “Angel” introduced her to Joss Whedon, who cast her in FOX’s “Firefly” and the feature film “Serenity.”
Glau has made guest appearances on various television series, including “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Cold Case,” “The 4400” and “The Unit.” She can also be seen starring in the films “Mammoth” and “The Initiation of Sarah.”
