At 10pm, SHOWTIME premieres the new half-hour dark comedy series UNITED STATES OF TARA starring Collette (Little Miss Sunshine) as a suburban wife and mother whose dissociative identity disorder (formerly multiple personality disorder) ensures that her dysfunctional family is tethered to a permanent roller coaster — they never quite know which version of her they’re going to get on any given day. John Corbett (Sex & the City) stars as her beguiled and beleaguered husband Max. A co-production of SHOWTIME Networks and Dreamworks Television, TARA is executive produced by Steven Spielberg (Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), Diablo Cody (Juno), Justin Falvey (Las Vegas), Darryl Frank (Las Vegas), and Alexa Junge (Friends).
At 10:30pm, Belle du Jour (Billie Piper) returns for the second season of SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL, which follows the storied and glamorous exploits of a high-class escort. This season, Belle breaks out on her own while acting as mentor to a clingy newcomer (Ashley Madekwe) and trying to stay neutral with a hot new client (Callum Blue).
The eight-episode finale of THE L WORD® premieres at 9pm.
