Showtime Orders A 4th Season Of Californication

Hot off the record-breaking ratings for the third season premiere last week, SHOWTIME is picking up a fourth season of CALIFORNICATION, it was announced today by Showtime Networks President of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt. Twelve new episodes of Showtime’s hit comedy series will premiere in 2010.

CALIFORNICATION’s third season premiere garnered record-breaking viewership — up a whopping 57% from season two. The series follows the exploits of writer Hank Moody (David Duchovny in his Golden Globe® Award-winning and SAG® Award-nominated role) as he works to balance his career, ex-girlfriend, daughter and hedonistic vices. This year, the economy and lack of book sales force Hank into teaching at a Los Angeles university. Will he be able to keep it together while guiding the next generation of scribes? CALIFORNICATION is created by Tom Kapinos and executive produced by Kapinos, Duchovny and Gina Fattore.
