Showtime Networks has launched an interactive application that allows non-subscribers to sample the network’s award-winning programming and enables them to instantly upgrade to Showtime with a click of the remote. The SHOWTIME Preview Application is available now nationwide to all customers of Verizon FiOS TV. Transforming the way premium channels are marketed and sold, the Showtime Preview Application, a television first, will allow viewers to sample on-demand free episodes of the network’s series, learn more about SHOWTIME Sports programming and movies, and is enabled for remote control subscription ordering in real-time.

The SHOWTIME Preview Application gives viewers an engaging and convenient way to subscribe to the network’s channels without the added phone wait time. When consumers tune in to any of the network’s channels, instead of a notice to call their local provider, viewers will see a rich brand experience and immersive environment with the Showtime Preview Application. Using their remote, non-subscribers can watch free sample episodes of the network’s critically-acclaimed hit series, learn more about SHOWTIME program offerings, and click through user specific pricing information. When they are ready, upgrading is just a click away and their subscription order is processed in real time.

The Showtime Preview Application is the newest innovation from Showtime Digital Media, which was recently awarded an Interactive Emmy(R) Plaque for the Showtime Sports Interactive TV application. Versions of the Showtime Preview Application are also currently available to Dish Network and Time Warner Oceanic customers.
