CBS’ Rules of Engagement is back tonight with an all new season that is sure to get good ratings because it’s a harmless easy to watch comedy that CBS excels at.  Nothing has really changed since this show started – Jeff and Audrey (Patrick Warburton and Megyn Price) are still the wise old married couple.  Adam and Jennifer (Oliver Hudson and Bianca Kajlich) are still the engaged, lovey-dovey couple.  And Russell (David Spade in a typical David Spade role) is still the sassy single who teases them about everything they do.

In the season premiere, Audrey becomes a “theatre-goer” where she makes a shocking new theatre friend.  Jeff spends the majority of the episode talking about and attending the boat show.  And Adam and Jennifer take dance lessons with predictable but charming results.

Episode 2 deals with Russell getting a new assistant (Adhir Kalyan, from the sadly defunct Aliens in America).  Audrey, meanwhile, in an effort to do something besides lie around and watch TV all day, joins Jen in reading to the elderly, with disastrous results.

My favorite thing about the show remains Oliver Hudson’s Adam (he’s adorable and is great with the comedy) and I can take or leave the David Spade witticisms (sometimes they fall terribly flat).  All in all, a show I won’t watch every week, but something that I’ll record for some marathon weekend viewing!  Check out the show airing after Two and a Half Men and let us know what you think!

Rules Of Engagement Season 3 Premiere Airs On CBS Monday, March 2nd at 9:30PM EST.
