‘Reaper’ Gets Off To Solid Start

Facing tough premiere week competition, The CW's new series REAPER got off to a solid start, building on its established lead-in, BEAUTY AND THE GEEK, by 6% in adults 18-34 (1.8/5) and 8% in viewers (3.22mil), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007.

REAPER also delivered time period gains versus the "Veronica Mars" premiere (10/3/06), with growth of 6% in adults 18-34 and 7% in adults 18-49 (1.5/4).

The series debut of REAPER recruited a lot of young men to The CW on Tuesday. In fact, REAPER delivered The CW's best ratings in the time period among men 18-34 (1.8/5), men 18-49 (1.5/4) and male teens (1.7/5).

And compared to last fall's "Veronica Mars" opener, last night's REAPER drew an impressive 64% more men 18-34, 67% more men 18-49 and 70% more male teens.
