In addition to handsome looks and magnetic charm, Lesure has a firmly grounded personality. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, his path to Hollywood began with a few unexpected turns. He served in the Air Force Academy, before attending the University of Southern California where he received his B.F.A. in theater.
During his time at USC, he had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. While there, Lesure performed in the productions “Hair” and “The Island.” He also has worked in a professional theater company in Los Angeles, where he played the role of Macduff in Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.”
Lesure made his series debut on “For Your Love” as attorney Mel Ellis, co-starring actress Holly Robinson-Peete. He also appeared in recurring roles on “Alias” and “The Division.” His other television credits include guest-starring roles on “Lost,” “Mad About You,” “NYPD Blue,” “Seinfeld” and “The Burning Zone.”
Named “One To Watch” by GQ Magazine, Lesure recently starred in the romantic comedy “Loveless in Los Angeles” and his expanding film career includes various independent film productions, as well as the feature films “The Ring Two” and “Crimson Tide” starring Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman.
Lesure is noted for both his on-screen performances and charitable efforts. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Support Award from the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California; Outstanding Male Actor in a TV Drama presented by the MIB Prism Awards, and two-time MVP of the NBA Entertainment League. A sports enthusiast, he participates in several charitable sporting events throughout the year.
He currently resides in Los Angeles.
