We haven't even seen an episode from the upcoming third season but late tonight sources are confirming that FOX has greenlit a fourth season and ordered another 22 episodes of animated comedy "American Dad". The latest episode order will not air until the 2008-09 season due to the length of time needed to produce the series. The pickup of a fourth season bring the series order to 84 episodes which is the magic number to begin shopping for distribution deals.
"American Dad" returns for its third season Sundays at 9:30 this fall.
