One eskimO and Warner Premiere have created an innovative new musical experience that brings a musical album together with groundbreaking animation and a deep story to offer music fans a fully immersive musical and visual storytelling experience. “The Adventures of One eskimO,” the title of the visual album, is the brainchild of lead singer Kristian Leontiou and is comprised of a series of animated musical story episodes.
The visual album has been jointly developed and produced by the band and Warner Premiere, and will be distributed to consumers by Warner Bros. Digital Distribution.
Warner Premiere and WBDD envision “The Adventures of One Eskimo” to be the first in a slate of visual album projects that offer musicians and consumers a new and compelling way to experience musical albums through the digital medium.
The band will perform songs from their forthcoming album release live in the Warner Bros. booth (Booth #4329 / Hall E Entrance) at 4:30 Friday, July 24. Exclusive clips of animation from “The Adventures of One eskimO” will be shown on the monitors located on the Warner Bros. water tower.
About the Band
One eskimO, the band, is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Kristian Leontiou, One eskimO arrives with an impressive breadth of imagination that instantly marks them as something extraordinary. Produced by Rollo Armstrong (Faithless, Dido), the music is an ambitious and affecting collection of widescreen modern pop, alive with iridescent textures and intricately crafted songcraft. Songs like “Hometime” and “Kandi” (featuring an indelible chorus sampled from Candi Staton’s classic “He Called Me Baby”) are moving and expressive, touching upon such universal themes as love and heartbreak, success and failure. The band’s debut album will premiere in September on Shangri-La Recordings.
