Jumper DVD Review

Seat42f Says: Great expectations. Probably the best two words that come to mind of what I was thinking when I popped Jumper into the DVD player. The recipe seemed simple. Take a couple of fantastic movie trailers combined with Doug Liman, Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson and Samuel Jackson and you should have a good movie, right? Wrong! In between all the jumping back and forth I failed to connect with a single character. Not helping matters were Christensen and Bilson offering a big old zero in the chemistry department.  A shame really because there was so much more potential with this movie, but like a lot of big action movies the best parts are only found in the trailers. In the end it felt like a tired slight of hand magic trick. Keep your eyes on all of the nifty jumping sequences and you'll forget there isn't a movie in here worth much more than a rainy day, nothing else is on viewing.
