The magician’s assistant is back as the BBC brings to DVD four feature-length specials with the release of Jonathan Creek: The Specials. Starring comedian Alan Davies (Dog Eat Dog, Hotel Babylon) and Ab Fab alum Julia Sawalha (Cranford, Absolutely Fabulous), this BAFTA and Royal Television award-winning series follows Jonathan (Davies) as he continues to solve impossible mysteries while devising stunning feats for a hack magician. In two specials never-before-seen in North America, Jonathan must unravel the mystery behind an ominious presence attacking guests at the infamous Metropolis mansion and investigate a series of spooky events at a house called Green Lanterns. The release boasts guest star appearances by Paul McGann (Alien 3, Luther), Judy Parfitt (Girl with a Pearl Earring, Little Dorrit), and Emmy Award winner Rik Mayall (An American Werewolf in London, The Young Ones).
