FAMILY GUY’S Stewie Griffin and Brian Griffin will honor the year in television the only way they know how – their way – with an original performance at the 59TH PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS airing live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles Sunday, Sept. 16 (8:00-11:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. The broadcast will be hosted by AMERICAN IDOL’s Ryan Seacrest.
Stewie and Brian will hit the stage in all their two-dimensional glory and pay tribute to the year in television with a song and dance number unlike any other.
“One of the treats about doing the 59th PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS on FOX is the opportunity to recognize the network’s contribution to animation. We’re excited about a very unique performance by the cast of FAMILY GUY, who will magically appear on the Emmy stage in their own original musical tribute to the year in television,” said Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of this year’s telecast.
Stewie Griffin himself is thrilled to be part of the ceremony. “I’m going to get me a nice big whiff of some Ryan Seacrest,” he said.
Produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures LLC, the 59TH PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS on FOX will originate from the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
