What initially drew you into the world of song and performance?
SABRYNA: I fell in love with music at a really early age. I always knew I wanted to be a singer, and I didn’t really have a backup plan… So thank god, it all fell into place!

What was the moment when you realize that you had finally “made it” as a performer?
SABRYNA: I don’t think I’ve had that moment ye I’m definitely proud of what I’ve achieved so far, but I’m always in search of more and wanting to get better. I know there’s a part of myself that I haven’t even tapped into yet. Who knows, maybe I’ll never have that moment!

How would you describe your style of music?
SABRYNA: It’s pop music, but I definitely bring an RnB vibe with my vocals. RnB music was my first love, and pop music is my new love. I enjoy mixing the two.

What continues to be your source of inspiration in your music?
SABRYNA: It’s cliche to say, but everything. I am guilty of being a songwriter that thrives creatively in painful and tough times.

Is there a story behind your song “Try It”?
SABRYNA: The message behind the song is seize the opportunities of life, and don’t let a moment pass you by. “Carpe Diem” became “Try It”.

What do you think you have learned from your professional journey so far?
SABRYNA: That hand work trumps talent. You have to really want it. Visualize and believe in the outcome you want to achieve. Spirituality and success go hand in hand.

Are there any cool perks of where you are in your career right now?
SABRYNA: Sometimes I get to sneak into some pretty cool events! It’s awesome meeting people you really look up to and then realizing that they’re just human beings like you. Working with Usher really taught me that.

Has there been any great advice you have gotten?
SABRYNA: My dad always says “Be The Tall Poppy” It’s an English expression! [LOL]

What advice would you offer to other upcoming and aspiring singers/performers?
SABRYNA: Remember that you’ve got something special to offer the industry/world that nobody else can replicate. Focus and hone in on that. Build a team around you who really believes in you, the music and brings out the best in you.

What do you consider to be one of your proudest accomplishments as a singer/performer?
SABRYNA: I’m proud of my new single “Try It” — available now, everywhere!

Do you have any other upcoming projects that you can share that fans should keep an eye out for?
SABRYNA: Yes! I’m releasing an EP really soon… 5 songs. Stay tuned.

At a time when women’s voices are rising to be heard and respected around the country and world, what do you recommend your fans do to lend support in that endeavor?
SABRYNA: Lead by example. It may sound corny, but “be the change you want to see the world.” We accept the love and respect we think we deserve, so as women, it’s important that we demand that respect.

What do you recommend your fans get involved with in order to further support musical artists?
SABRYNA: I would say support your fave artists by going to shows and live performances.
