How to Delete the Apple IDs You Want
The great thing about Apple programs is you can log into as many accounts as you want and they’re saved on the device for easy access in the future. However, the downside to that is if you log into someone else’s device and forget to remove it, they may be able to access your account.
What’s surprising is until recently, Apple didn’t allow for people to delete Apple IDs. However, you could remove the login information for devices. To do so, you’ll need to delete the information from both your computer and your Apple devices.
Deleting Your Apple ID From Your Computer
First, open your iTunes and then click on “View Account.” Once you’ve entered your password and logged in, access “Manage Devices” in the Cloud. Remove every single device you want, then “Deauthorize This Computer.”
Deleting Your Apple ID From Your Apple Devices
No matter if you have an iPad or an iPhone, you’ll be able to follow the instructions given here.
In “Settings,” tap on your name and then scroll down. Here, you’ll be able to see every linked device. Select the ones you want to get rid of and tap “Remove from Account.”
Actually Deleting Apple IDs
As of 2018, you can now delete Apple ID accounts. But before you do so, make sure you first backup your files, just in case you need them.
Once you’re ready, put “privacy.apple.com” into your browser, then log in. Click on “Delete Your Account” and follow all the instructions to get your account permanently deleted.
Do note that it won’t be instant; the process can take over a week to complete.
How to Create Apple IDs
Do you need to make a new account, whether it’s for yourself or someone else? Then you’ll be pleased to know it’s very easy to do.
You have 3 options to choose from for Apple ID creation: browser, Apple App Store, or iTunes. No matter which one you choose, you’ll have to enter the same information in before you can create a valid account.
When you get to the creation page, you’ll have to fill in your:
- Email (this will be your sign-in, so make sure it’s an email you actually use)
- Bill address

If you already have your browser open for other things, then the easiest way to create an Apple ID is to use what’s in front of you!
Put in “appleid.apple.com” and you’ll find a “Create Your Apple ID” button on the top-right of your screen. Once you click on it, you’ll be able to fill out a form to get your new account.
Apple App Store
Perhaps you have the Apple App Store open to get some new downloads? Then you may prefer to work with this interface instead.
After you click on the store, go to “Sign In,” which will prompt you with a popup. You may have to sign out of your existing account to get to the creation section.
Once you’ve done that, you can then click on “Create Apple ID.”
If you’ve never used iTunes before, then you’ll be prompted to make an Apple ID as soon as you open the program up. This makes it very easy to create an Apple ID.
However, if you’ve already logged in before, you’ll need to make some clicks before you can access the creation screen.
Go to “Account” and then “Sign In.” You might have to sign out of other existing accounts to do this.
There, you’ll find a button that says “Create New Apple ID” on the bottom. After you click on that, you’ll be able to get a new Apple ID.
How to Change Your Apple ID
Did you accidentally enter some information wrong when you first signed up? No problem. You can easily change anything on your Apple ID account.
All you’ll have to do is type in “appleid.apple.com” in your browser and sign in. There will be a section that says “Edit.”
When you click on it, you’ll be able to do things like change your password, email address, and physical address.
Do note that if you fail to enter the correct password multiple times, Apple may freeze the account for 24 hours due to suspicious activity. This is to protect you from cybercriminals.
To avoid this happening, you should reset your password instead.
How to Reset Your Password
This is very easy to do. Try to log in, and when the popup comes up on your screen, you’ll see a little bit of text that says “Forgot your Apple ID?” under the field you can type in.
