Dollhouse

Dollhouse Season 2 3

I have to be honest, in the beginning, I was not a fan of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, which premieres its second season tonight on FOX.  I thought it wasn’t what I was used to seeing from him, an dthat Eliza Dushku, the lead role, and primary focus, was miscast as our heroine.  Yet I found myself watching every single episode, hoping that I would eventually change my tune.  As the season progressed, I was more drawn in, and by the end of the season, I had come around to the fact that I might watch a season 2.

Lucky for me, season 2 starts tonight, and having seen the first episode back, I have to say, I might be more in like with the show than I ever suspected I would be.  The finale had Paul Ballard finding the Dollhouse with the help of everyone’s favorite psychopath Alan Tudyk, and by the time the premiere starts, 3 months later, he’s working with the people he was fighting against.

Special guest star Jamie Bamber certainly didn’t hurt in making this one of my favorite episodes of Dollhouse to date, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the stand out performances of Amy Acker (whose character realized she was a doll) and Fran Kranz (who she blames).  Kudos to Joss Whedon for convincing us all to stick with it, and I hope that the newly energized creative flow keeps going!

Dollhouse Season 2 Premiere Friday, September 25th On FOX 9:00/8:00c
