Doctor Who Available On iTunes In The U.S.

Three seasons of Britain’s most successful sci-fi franchise now available

BBC today announced that for the first time the BAFTA award winning sci-fi series Doctor Who will be available for purchase and download from the iTunes Store in the U.S. (www.itunes.com).

Starting today on iTunes, fans can purchase entire Seasons One, Two and Three of BBC AMERICA‘s series Doctor Who.

Created by Russell T Davies, this slick reimagining of Doctor Who puts a fresh spin on the incredible adventures of the iconic Time Lord and his feisty companions – who travel across the universe to protect Earth from dangerous aliens and horrifying monsters.

This announcement coincides with the BBC bringing its largest presence ever to Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego starting Thursday, July 24. For the first time ever, BBC AMERICA will have a booth on the exhibition floor plus a host of creators and stars from four international hit series – Doctor Who, Torchwood, Primeval and Spaced. Thursday’s Doctor Who panel session includes BAFTA winning executive producer and lead writer Steven Moffat and executive producer Julie Gardner.

To mark the event, BBC AMERICA has launched an exclusive website with up-to-date information on ticket giveaways for signings, live video updates from the floor and exclusive interviews with the stars www.bbcamerica.com/comiccon.
