Curb Your Enthusiasm

curb your enthusiam

Let me start by saying that before HBO sent out the first three episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm, I had never seen a single episode.  I had heard great things, and it’s constantly nominated for award after award, but to me, it wasn’t must see.  Having said that, and after watching the episodes, it’s officially on my must watch list, and I’m immediately going back to watch from the beginning.

Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld, plays himself, the co-creator of Seinfeld, as he deals with his friends and relationships in a slightly more off the wall version of his real life.  This season, as Larry tries to get himself out of the crazy relationship he’s in with Vivica A Fox’s character Loretta (and her family), he’s also trying to get the Seinfeld gang back together for a reunion, in an effort to woo his ex wife, Cheryl (Cheryl Hines).

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this show?  Larry David is so blissfully self-deprecating, and he gets himself into so many different arguments in the first three episodes, it’s a wonder he has any positive relationships left.  I found myself constantly laughing out loud, and once the Seinfeld gang was back together in episode 3, I was officially a CYE addict.  Do yourself a favor and catch the premiere – you’ll be hooked!

Premiere: Sunday, September 20th on HBO 9/8c
