Amy Sloan : Wendy Mixworthy

Raised in the Yukon Territory of Canada, Amy Sloan was one of the youngest actors to have graduated from the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada. Within a month of her graduating from NTS, Amy booked two national commercials and a lead role in a television film.
In the past few years, Amy has worked with such notable actors such as Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Jake Gyllenhaal, Alan Alda, Malcolm MacDowell, Ben Stiller, Brad Garrett and Penelope Cruz to name but a few. She has also worked with such prominent directors as Roland Emmerich, John Duigan, Richard Donner, Martin Scorsese and The Farrelly Brothers.
Not forgetting her roots in theatre, Amy garnered rave reviews playing the role of Mary Warren in the Centaur Theatre’s production of “The Crucible” in Montreal. After her stint away from her hometown of Whitehorse, Amy was offered the lead role of Catherine in the Tony Award winning Broadway play “Proof.” In spring of 2006, Amy starred in the Arthur Miller play “All My Sons” at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.
Some of Amy’s feature film credits include “The Day After Tomorrow,” opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, and “Head in the Clouds,” opposite Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend. After a North American search, Martin Scorsese cast Amy in the Academy Award winning film “The Aviator” playing the mother of young Howard Hughes. Amy will be seen in the upcoming Dreamworks feature “The Heartbreak Kid,” opposite Ben Stiller and directed by the Farrelly Brothers.

Sloan currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
