An Education — which has garnered three Oscar® nominations including Best Picture, Best Actress (Carey Mulligan) and Best Adapted Screenplay; a Golden Globe® Best Actress nomination (Mulligan); and a British Academy (BAFTA) Award for Best Actress (Mulligan) — arrives on Blu-ray and DVD March 30 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Carey Mulligan (Public Enemies) stars in the Sony Pictures Classics’ coming-of-age drama written by Nick Hornby (High Fidelity, About a Boy) from Lynn Barber’s autobiographical memoir and directed by Lone Scherfig (Hjemve, Wilbur Wants to Kill Himeself). An Education also stars Peter Sarsgaard (Orphan, Jarhead), Alfred Molina (The Da Vinci Code), two-time Oscar®-winner Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility, Howard’s End), Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia, The Duchess) and Rosamund Pike (Pride & Prejudice, Surrogates).

An Education received seven other BAFTA nominations including: Best Film; Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (Molina), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hair and Best Orange Rising Star Award. Adding to the list of accolades for Ms. Mulligan is a Best Actress win from the National Board of Review and a number of nods from Critics’ Associations, which also voted the film in its top 10 lists. Additionally, the Screen Actors Guild nominated An Education for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Ms. Mulligan for Best Actress. The Sony Pictures Classics film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where it won the 2009 Audience Award and Cinematography Award. It also received a nomination for the Grand Jury Prize.
