ABC Renews Boston Legal

Fans can thanks David E. Kelley owning the rights to Life On Mars for helping secure a 5th season of Boston Legal. Sources confirm ABC has renewed Boston Legal for a fifth season set for this fall. Insiders are telling me the return of Legal was a "thank you" of sorts for David E. Kelley keeping Life On Mars at ABC. Kelley controls the rights to Life On Mars, a series ABC wants to put on the air. Boston Legal was not expected back for a fifth season until Kelley threatened to walk out basically pulling Life On Mars. Once all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed ABC is expected to pickup Life On Mars.
